Susan Carol Cassell, a U.S. Army Veteran, was last seen by her husband leaving her residence in Glendale, Arizona on January 3, 1991. Susan worked as a Nurse at a local hospital near Glendale, Arizona. On the day Susan went missing, she had worked a double shift. She talked with her mother on the phone after her shifts and told her mother that she was tired and would call her back later. According to Susan’s husband, James, Susan left the house on January 3, 1991, leaving their 4 year old son with him. James took his son on an overnight camping trip on January 3, 1991 and returned on January 4, 1991 at which time he reported her missing. The vehicle she had left in was later located at her family’s residence. Susan has not been seen or heard from since January 3, 1991 and she never claimed several paychecks from the hospital prior to her going missing. Susan was pregnant at the time she went missing.
About a year after Susan went missing, James received a divorce and may have moved to Pennsylvania. While investigators believe foul play was involved in her disappearance, nobody has yet to be charged.
Susan Cassell was 35 years old when she went missing in 1991. Susan is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed approximately 140 to 150 pounds at the time she went missing. Susan Cassell has brown hair and green eyes. She also has a birthmark on the back of her neck. At the time she went missing, Susan had been wearing a nurses’ pin, a jade brooch, sapphire and diamond earrings, a sapphire necklace, her wedding band, a sapphire ring and assorted pieces of costume jewelry. Susan Cassell is also know to wear contact lenses.
