Marina M. Kissinger was my girlfriend when we were both in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at Osan Air Base, Korea during the entire year 1977. She visited me at Andrews AFB, MD a couple of times, in 1979 and 1980, while she was stationed at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. We kept in touch, by telephone, for about a year after that. During this time, she told me that she was interested in becoming a Catholic Sister and was interested in joining the order The Little Sisters of the Poor. I lost contact with her. I was surprised to learn that she had subsequently joined the U.S. Navy, and had disappeared under circumstances which I feel are not consistent with her character and personality from when I knew her years before. At the time I knew her I belived that she was very close to her family in Spokane, WA. I believe that she had a sister, possibly a twin if I recall correctly. The scar on her abdomen I believe to be from an appendectomy she underwent while we were stationed at Osan.

To this day I remember her fondly and well, and am very concerned about her well-being. If it is possible I would like to be informed as to whether her Missing Persons case is still open, and whether or not she has been found. I have no other information to offer, but I do have a few photos of us together from when we were stationed at Osan. Her appearance does not seem to have changed at all from that time to the time the photo on this site was taken. She would now be 59 years old and I’m sure she has changed over time, as one would expect.

Marina M. Kissinger and I were stationed in Barber’s Point Hi 81-85. We were close friends sharing photography and sports. I shipped out in 85 and was shocked to hear of her disappearance. The photo of her in this site looks like one of mine. Her leaving was out of character. She would stick it out until things changed as they do in military settings.
