Thomas Edmonds Godwin is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who went missing before a scheduled appointment on May 10, 2009 at a Winn-Dixie warehouse in Opa-locka, Florida where he was going to be fired after working 28 years with the company. Though Thomas Godwin is listed as last being seen on April 4, 2009, he is commonly known to have gone missing between May 6 and May 10, 2009. Also missing are Godwin’s retriever-dachshund mix, and his 2000 Honda Accord.
Thomas Godwin’s family says that he lived a quiet life and kept mostly to himself. Few people were aware that he had health issues and his sister, Diane VanWambeck grew worried when Thomas Godwin’s insurance company kept calling her asking about his whereabouts. She grew even more worried when he missed one of his niece’s birthdays. Thomas Godwin’s sister said that he is a lifelong bachelor and was very close to his six sisters and their children.
Thomas Edmonds Godwin was reported missing on June 19, 2009 after last being seen at his home in Davie, Florida. His 2000 Honda Accord was later recovered in Miami-Dade County.
Thomas Godwin was 53 years old at the time he went missing in 2009. Thomas is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed 170 to 200 pounds. Thomas Godwin was brown hair and blue eyes.
