Walter Joseph Wilson

walter_joseph_wilson_01Walter Joseph Wilson is a U.S. Navy Veteran who was last seen at the home of his sister and brother-in-law in Asheville, North Carolina on March 27, 2009.  Walter Wilson’s brother-in-law was in the hospital and he had brought items to his sister at the hospital right before he went missing.  When his sister returned home where Walter should have been, she found a note from Walter thanking them for allowing him to stay and telling them that he would be in contact with them when he got settled.   Investigators determined that Walter Wilson used a bus to get from Memphis, Tennessee to New Mexico, then returned back to Memphis, Tennessee.  Police are assuming that he took took a greyhound bus from Asheville, North Carolina to Memphis, Tennessee.

Walter Joseph Wilson was 51 years old at the time he went missing in 2009.  Walter Wilson is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed approximately 225 to 250 pounds.  Walter Wilson has brown hair cut in a crew cut with graying sideburns and a bald spot on top.  Walter is also known to wear a mustache.  Walter has blue eyes and requires reading glasses. Walter suffers from bad knees which had not been treated prior to his disappearance.  Walter is known to wear blue jeans in size 46 x 30 and dress shirts in size 2X with a 17 1/2 inch neck.  Walter also wore white tennis shoes in size 13DDD and always wore white crew ankle socks.  The glasses that he had with him when he went missing were reading glasses from walmart.  Walter took an olive drab in color military issue duffel bag that he received while serving in the U.S. Navy.  At the time he went missing, Walter had a North Carolina Drivers License number OLN3814841.
