Edwin Clark Rogers

edwin_clark_rogers_02Edwin Clark Rogers is a 62 year old Vietnam Veteran who was last seen at a VFW in Liberty Texas on December 30, 2011. Edwin Clark Rogers called his two sons around 11:40 PM asking them both if they were up and they both said “no”, to which he replied to both that “Ok, I’m gonna go then”. Edwin Clark Rogers left the VFW and was never seen or heard from again.

On December 31, 2o11, Josh Roskie, the stepson of Edwin Clark Rogers, said he and his wife saw Rogers’ jeep, a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, on the side of SH 321.  They did not think anything of it because Rogers had had argued with his wife and were separated at the time.  As the days went on, others noticed the jeep at the same location and they grew more concerned.  Roskie then contacted his mom and she went down to the jeep and placed a rock on the tire to try to see if the vehicle is moved.  She found Rogers’ cell phone under the front seat of the jeep and became worried.  The stepdaughter of Edwin Clark Rogers  then reported Rogers missing on January 6, 2012.

Edwin Clark Rogers was 62 at the time he disappeared in December, 2011.  Family says that due to feet issues from his time related to his service in Vietnam, he would not have just walked away on foot.  They also say that it is unlike Edwin Clark Rogers to not stay in contact with his family. Members of Texas EquuSearch, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tarkington Volunteer Fire Department conducted a search with negative results, but one search area aroused suspicion and they had planned on using ground penetrating radar at that location.  Nothing significant was found.

At the time that Edwin Clark Rogers went missing, he was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, hunter green in color with a lift kit installed and larger tires and wheels.  The vehicle was discovered on the side of SH 321.  Edwin Clark Rogers is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed approximately 180 pounds at the time he went missing in December, 2011.  Edwin Clark Rogers has gray hair and blue eyes and has surgery scars on his chest and back.  According to NamUs.gov, Edwin Clark Rogers is missing all but three teeth

To the best of our knowledge, no he has not. We do try our best to keep the Missing Veteran Profiles updated, but Law Enforcement Agencies do not feed us updates and we have to constantly check and reconfirm the status of more than 100 Missing Veterans on our own. As soon as the status changes, we will update the profile and move Mr Rogers to a different category.
