Anthony Thomas Riggs

Updated December 14, 2015: The search for Mr. Anthony Thomas Riggs has ended. Family reports that Mr. Riggs has been located safe.

SEARCH_ENDEDAnthony Thomas Riggs is a U.S. Army Veteran who was last heard from by his family in February 2015.  The family of Anthony Riggs said that he served in the U.S.Army and deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Approximately three years ago, Anthony Riggs left his parents home in Minnesota where he was staying and drove off in his red 1981 Chevy half-ton pickup truck with his silver airstream travel trailer attached.  His truck was last known to have a Minnesota license plate # 524-EDR (photo below) as shown in a 2012 video he recorded.  The last his parents knew, Anthony Riggs had settled down in Barstow, California in the 28700 block of Community Boulevard.  Law enforcement checked the area and nobody interviewed recalled ever seeing Anthony Riggs, his pickup truck or his travel trailer.  According to his family, Anthony Riggs suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and they fear he may be off his medication.  The parents of Anthony Thomas Riggs reported him missing to the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department in November 2015.

On October 19, 2012, Anthony Riggs shared a video on his facebook page which he commented “Way off the road in Barstow, Ca”.  The video shows his truck stuck on a ride through a rocky area.

Anthony Thomas Riggs is 37 years old as of the date he was last heard from in February 2015.   Anthony Riggs is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.  Anthony Riggs has a large scar from surgery running the length of his spine. Anthony Riggs appears to be missing 2 front teeth (#’s 7 and 8,  Lateral Incisor and Central Incisor) as shown in an image below.  Anthony Riggs may also go by the name “Tom Riggs” according to information we received.

        We read on a facebook page of one of his family members that he was located safe. The comment was made on the 20151211. We just noticed that comment tonight and are working to confirm that information. We really appreciate you wanting to head out to search. That is what taking care of our brothers is all about.

    We would like to thank everyone for all there help and thoughts. We located Anthony yesterday morning and he is just fine he says he was just simply living off the grid. Thank You everyone again.
