Bernie Leon Bickels is a 65 year old Vietnam Veteran who went missing on January 24, 2015 in the Casper, Wyoming area. Bernie was last seen with his two dogs, a male and female black lab which are considered “senior” and “overweight”. Bernie’s truck was found at approximately 5:45 PM on January 24, 2015 at Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park in Evansville, Wyoming.
The last known location of Bernie Bickels was at Big Lots in Casper, Wyoming around 2:45 PM on January 24, 2015. He had plans at his daughter’s house around 4:40 PM on the 24th of January, 2015 and he never arrived.
Bernie Bickels is 65 years old and is 5 feet 10 inches tall. Bernie weighs approximately 200 pounds and is of a medium build. Bernie has gray hair and gray-blue eyes.
From a news report: “Bernie Leon Bickels was awarded a Purple Heart during his time in the Marine Corps. He served with the 9th Marines 2nd Battalion, recalled his wife Nancy Bickels, during the Vietnam War, he earned his Purple Heart while saving a friend in the Tet Offensive, in 1968.”
According to a news report, the remains of at least one of Bernie’s dogs has been found in the North Platte River
