Updated June 1, 2015: The search for John Douglas Oswalt has ended.  Family has announced that John Douglas Oswalt has been located deceased. Rest in Peace Mr. Oswalt.

SEARCH_ENDEDJohn Douglas Oswalt is a U.S. Navy Veteran and former Memphis Police Department officer who was last seen Sunday May 3, 2015 in the Pensacola, Florida area.  Around 6:30 PM on Tuesday May 5, 2015, John Douglas Oswalt’s silver in color Chrysler Crossfire was found abandoned on Pine Barren Road near McDavid, Florida. McDavid, Florida is located about 12 miles south of his hometown of Flomaton, Alabama and about 30 miles north of Pensacola, Florida where he was last seen.  An Escambia County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit searched the area around the abandoned vehicle and did not find any sign of John Douglas Oswalt.  Flomaton Police also attempted to locate John Douglas Oswalt at his home but were unsuccessful.

John Douglas Oswalt is 35 years old as of the time he went missing in May, 2015 (DOB 8/29/1979). John Douglas Oswalt is 6 feet tall, his head is shaved bald and he has hazel eyes.  As seen in the photos below, John Douglas Oswalt may have facial hair.

    Hello all you wonderful kids and friends…. Tomorrow in the Sunday paper will be the announcement for the memorial service for our son John Douglas Oswalt…. Memorial will be held at Bellevue baptist church in the pollard chapel Saturday, June 13, 2015. It will start at 9:00 to 10:00 for visitation. Memorial Service will start at 10:00. Please join us after service in the reception room for food and fellowship. Can’t wait to hug and kiss all you beautiful people who have helped me more than you will ever know during this horrible tragedy…. I go on this page every night to see all these pics, videos and precious words you’ ll say about my son…. I cry but I also feel comfort because of all of you… Love all of you.
