Aaron Berns is a U.S. Army Veteran who was last seen around 7:00 p.m. on January 1, 2016. Aaron Berns was near the scene of a house fire in Morrow, Ohio and fled on foot when police approached him. Aaron Berns jumped head first into the Little Miami River and the current quickly swept him away. According to news reports, Law Enforcement Officers ran along the river, but were unable to keep up with Aaron Berns and he was swept out of sight. Intense searches of the river and the area around the river have come up empty. Aaron Berns served in both Iraq and Afghanistan and may suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other issues.
Family and friends have said that Aaron Berns is very religious and often turns to the bible when he is having trouble. He may ask someone for a bible or seek refuge in a church.
Aaron Berns is 27 years old as of the date he went missing in January 2016. Aaron Berns stands about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds. Aaron Berns has brown hair and brown eyes. Aaron has tattoos of the Soldier’s Creed on his back and Tapout on his arm.
