The Wausau Police Department released the following: “The body of Brian Rossell has been located in Lake Wausau on September 08, 2016, near the Eagles Club landing on South 3rd Ave. The body was spotted by a member of the public that was bird watching. The body was about 150 feet from shore. Detectives were near the boat landing with dogs at the time and were immediately notified. Brian is deceased. Brian Rossell is a U.S. Military Veteran who went missing after leaving his home in Wausau, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 4, 2016 around 8:30 p.m.. Brian Rossell suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and left his apartment with his service dog, but no keys, wallet, ID or phone. Brian Rossell’s service dog was later found in the parking lot of the apartment complex with no leash or collar. The focus of the search for Brian Rossell has been in the Wisconsin River because his service dog led his girlfriend to the river and started whimpering. Brian Rossell was last seen at South Third Avenue and Stewart Avenue in Wausau, Wisconsin on Sunday night.

Brian Rossell has a mohawk and recently dyed his hair black. Brian Rossell has a tattoo of three swords in a human heart n his chest and a tattoo of a star on his left arm. Brian Rossell may be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with dark-colored jeans and black boots.
