Updated June 11, 2016: The search for Christopher Files has ended. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Mr. Files was located safe and that “Particular details surrounding the initial report and information regarding Mr. Files whereabouts are not being made public out of respect for Mr. Files and his family. We appreciate the overwhelming response by way of post sharing and we thank you for your support.”
Christopher Files is a Retired U.S. Military Veteran who went missing on May 31, 2016 possibly from New York State. The family of Christopher Files said that they last spoke with him about 5:30 p.m. on May 31, 2016 and he mentioned that he was in New York State and that he may be heading to Idaho. Relatives are concerned for his safety and are working with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office to locate Christopher Files. Christopher Files may be driving his 2011 black Chevrolet Silverado with a Maine Conservation License Plate # 85610.
