Patrick Shunn

Updated May 24, 2016: The search for Patrick Shunn has ended. Snohomish County Detectives have found the remains of two people, one male and one female, in the Oso, Washington area.  While confirmation of identification from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner is still pending, detectives have reason to believe they are 45 year-old Patrick Shunn and his wife, 46 year-old Monique Patenaude. The bodies were located in a remote area a few miles to the north of Shunn and Patenaude’s residence, near where the victim’s vehicles had previously been recovered.  Detectives confirmed that information they received from Tony Reed, a suspect in the investigation, helped them pinpoint the exact location of the bodies.

SEARCH_ENDEDPatrick Shunn is a U.S. Army Veteran who was reported missing along with his wife, Monique Patenaude, from their home in Arlington, Washington on Tuesday April 12, 2016.  Patrick Shunn, a former Airborne Ranger who was previously stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and his wife were reported missing after they failed to attend an Iron Maiden concert on Monday evening and their neighbors found their dogs and livestock unattended at their ranch (home) on Tuesday.  Their vehicles, a tan 2000 Landrover Discovery (Washington plates AR02639) and a black 1995 Jeep (Washington plates WB02789), were missing but later located by law enforcement about 10 minutes away from their home down an embankment in Oso, Washington.  Law enforcement says the vehicles are heavily damaged vehicles and they are located about 200 feet apart.  The Snohomish County Seriff’s Office has called their disappearance suspicious because “it is unusual for them not to be in contact with family or friends”.

I met Pat while he was in High School, as a friend of my child. He was a wonderful young man who cared about his family and friends. Pat would help everyone who needed assistance. Please help his family find the Reeds, they are murders who escaped to Mexico with help from their parents! Look them up, there is a reward – let’s get them!
