I wonder why these kinds of things happen. I think she is somewhere safe. That they are searching wooded areas is not a good sign, but they know what to do.

Why would she leave her child with her ex-husband if she knew that he would not be available for the entire time that she would be gone ? It says that he had to get back to NC. Unless as he had only a short time to spend with the child, he would spend that time with her and then give her to the relative to continue caring for her until the mother returned. Also, they say he is the last to see her alive, so where did this take place, in poinciana gardens ? If so, can the cameras at the computer store see her car exiting at the approximate time of departure ?

it seems he was supposed to leave for NC AFTER she picked the daughter up…she was to spend the night with her father, so…she did not get picked up and he had to leave her with another person.

Jan McCann, Thank You …I inquired on that site about the computer store and their cameras,,but they can’t really answer yes/no – to not affect the search – not the exact words, but basically everything is being looked at. The part of my question that had to do with leaving her child with her ex, was answered by Brooke Canfield

Somewhere I read if correctly, that she was at the er with a skinny man, and that they were not speaking much to one another, who was he? shouldn’t the hospital have security cameras somewhere? also, it appears by her blog that she was in a bad state of mind due to some kind of relationship issue, although this is a tragic situation, something reveals itself as though she may have left on her own accord, it seems everything was in place before she disappeared, daughter in the hands of caregivers, chicken on counter thawing, to show intention of return, id and cellphone gone which is something we all reach for before going anywhere, I hope that this is the case, people change there minds, get help and come back, I hope, this would be the best case scenario, I am 100% behind searching for her either way, just wanted to post my opinion on the matter. Thank you.

THE SEARCH FOR TRICIA TODD – Martin County Sheriff’s Office

    Monday, May 2, 2016, 1:40pm UPDATE

Sheriff William Snyder, MCSO detectives, deputies, and representatives from the State Attorney’s Office wrapped up a status briefing on the disappearance of Trisha Todd a short time ago. Although there are no significant details to pass along, here is the latest information.

MCSO has obtained the last known photo of Tricia captured at the Hobe Sound Publix Tuesday evening, 4/26. As you can see, she is smiling and appears to be in good spirits. If you saw Tricia that evening and noticed anything unusual, please call us.

There is information being passed along that MCSO has ordered the dredging of a lake in North Carolina. That is FALSE. It is imperative that we work with facts, and avoid rumors.

There are a number of investigators working on different aspects of Tricia’s disappearance. At this time, everyone involved in this case has been cooperative.

Sheriff Snyder has ordered the MCSO Command Post and search assets to remain active and in place along US1 and Bridge Road until further notice. Central command will continue to work out of that location. Tips have been coming in, including walk-in and telephone tips. We have received those tips from as far away as California.

We know that this case is of great interest to the community, and we will continue to share what we can about the search efforts. We have a large amount of resources dedicated to finding Tricia, and thank everyone for their willingness to assist us.

Due to the increasing number of media inquiries, Sheriff Snyder will hold a press availability at 3pm at the MCSO Command Post. At that time he will provide a daily status update.

Why would the ex husband have Trisha drive over to his place to give the daughter medicine, at 12:00Am or so, when he could have done it himself with his daughter at a 24-hour Walgreens. Especially since he was able enough to go out at that same time buy Trisha 2 gallons of gas for her empty car at 12:00AM to 1:00AM or so for her to get back home (He was caught on camera at the gas station). Trisha could have gotten her own gas. He was found on camera later that morning at a Walgreens with his daughter “to get medicine”. Well, Trisha supposedly had already dropped off the medicine at his place at 12:00AM or so.

He was spotted at the carwash later that same day cleaning the inside of his car “because the daughter was sick and threw up”. If the daughter was so sick, why did he take her to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary later that same day. In my opinion, the ex husband’s car and Trisha’s car should have forensics done.

Plus innocent people fail polygraphs many times and guilty people pass them many times. That’s why they’re not admissible in court.

I believe the ex knows WAY more about her disappearance!!!!!! Her car was found in her neighbors driveway with the door open and the keys in the ignition. Her gas tank was nearly empty. I don’t know what type of work he does in the Air Force, but he could easily have been trained to lie, mislead and appear to be interested and cooperative but truthfully know different. We don’t know what type of trainings he’s participated in. I believe that when people are extra cooperative, or extra willing to help have guilt on their conscience!

Another scary thought is that she was followed and abducted from her car (questioning y her car was in her neighbors driveway with keys in ignition and door wide open)

Human Sex Trafficing is REAL!!!!! Adults, teens and young children; males or female- those scumbags don’t discriminate! I wonder but HoPE authorities have considered this possibility. There’s an extremely disturbing website that John Walsh has been begging for years to have shut down; BACKPAGE.com is a LEGAL website where know traffickers; pimps “sell/ rent” their drugged victim. The dirty customers pay with their credit cards on the site and the site doesn’t want to lose money. Spare me!!!!! There are some legit deals that go down, but this site is evil!!!! I hope searchers have been searching the ads (like craigslist) for her. When pimps post a sale, they usually post a picture.

I wanted to suggest this to those searching on her Facebook, but they said they didn’t want any suggestions or speculation brought there.

This case pulls on my heart- strings. As a mom of 4 daughters, this is one of my worst nightmares!!!!!

I check everyday to see that she’s been found safe……. Still nothing!!!!!!

LC..interesting thoughts…RE: getting her own gas, if she was out of gas, she couldn’t on an empty tank get her own gas, unless she borrowed his vehicle and used a gas can to bring back gas for her car. RE: coming back over to bring medicine..I thought I had heard that she went over to comfort her, so didn’t hear about bringing meds but not saying it couldn’t be true..You seem to have more info than I do..RE: taking her to Busch gardens, she might have felt better and then he may have thought this might cheer her up..RE: forensics on car — I believe I have heard that forensics were already done on the cars and nothing showed up – but of course the one car was now cleaned,,

Fair enough. But, when I’m away from home, I wouldn’t go back home if I had an empty tank. It’s common sense that you don’t go from point A to point B without being able to get back to point A. She’s a nurse and can afford to rub more than two nickles together to buy gas when she’s low on it. Forensics Martin County style might be different from FBI style whether they did just one car or both. They didn’t do forensics on the ex’s car as far as I know. Plus Busch Wildlife Center is a perfect place to say you went because we’ve been there. It’s free, so no receipt unless he can produce something, or there are cameras. Did MC even check that out?

Plus Barbara, the ex husband was seen at the gas station, not the mother. It wasn’t Busch Gardens it was Busch Wildlife Center. She did not go over to comfort the daughter, she went over to bring medicine.

I didn’t mean that she maybe went to get gas, but another way that she could’ve purchased gas if she was too low on gas, was to get it by using his car..Yes you would think she’d have money being a nurse to not be running low on gas…Yes, you are correct Busch Wildlife Center..RE: Going from point A to point B….I have gone from A to B with enough gas for that trip, but then have to buy more in order to get back to A.. I had heard that forensics were done on both, though it didn’t sound right as he would have to had gone back with his car, and then later would they want to evaluate his car but he would have been gone.. I don’t know if it was a rental or not..

Ok, this is my last post about this. The sheriff’s department said that the gas station camera showed the ex husband buying 2 gallons of gas at the gas station. What more can I say about that.

RE: “Why would the ex husband have Trisha drive over to his place to give the daughter medicine, at 12:00Am or so, when he could have done it himself with his daughter at a 24-hour Walgreens.” — Could it be that the mother, being the parent that the child lives with, already had some medicine that the child has used or uses, and in this case why purchase more if some is available already by contacting the mother. The distance isn’t far between the two homes..

That’s why I smell a rat. Why did he go to Walgreens with the daughter later that morning to get…whatever. The man’s story doesn’t pass the sniff test.Maybe I watch Who done-it’s-too much

why hasnt anyone asked about what her purchases were at publix where she was last seen on camera? could tell alot about her intentions, and if she were to leave on her own, maybe she bought trial size things and such

ok..thanks..and I’ll just say this..to me buying 2 gallons of gas is not peculiar – I have run low on gas and my boyfriend has purchased a similar amount and put it into my car and then I’d later go and buy more gas now that I had gas to get to the station..Not that I’m not leaning towards your thoughts about the ex – because I am..just evaluating what’s been said.

Pat, maybe that has been looked into, but I haven’t heard anything like that answered but someone did post elsewhere about that… it seems that questions are not always answered …but maybe there are answers but just not revealed.. I’ve been asking about the cameras that are at the computer store at the entrance to the development – if they can be used to assess if truly she left the development – but I don’t hear any answers – just that things are being looked into

I was wondering if the ex-husband is not considered a suspect, why is it that we have not been warned about a person possibly in Hobe Sound or the treasure coast that might be considered to be dangerous, so therefore be aware and cautious of your surroundings ..?
